Water and sanitation
In Mellerud there are areas with communal water and sanitation, and houses that have their own water supply and sanitation. Samhällsbyggnadsförvaltningen is in charge of the communal water and sanitation. Dalslands Miljökontor (The Environmental Office of Dalsland) gives advice to house owners with private water and sanitation and controls that the sewage cleaning is up to standard.
